Ahhh, I'm just really having fun working with this little cutie's body! It's so interesting to try and fit eight limbs on a humanoid form and still retain some original spideryness.

The whip spider, otherwise known as the tailless whip scorpion, it made a public debut in the harry potter films as the victim of the 3 unforgivable curses. They are harmless to humans aside from poking when they get agitated, and they have no venom injecting fangs.

Oh my GOD that first one is GORGEOUS. Spiders have some of the best colors though, for serious! I found this really gorgeous spiny orbweaver on my back porch once that was all black and white with red spikes, and then there was a huge garden spider in my front yard that was black with yellow and red and white~ Such cool critters. :>
And yeah that second one I recognized from the Harry Potter films, though I'm hoping that was CG and all. I'd be a bit wary of those though, the spindly legs always get me, but it otherwise just looks like a crab lol.

Yea! I actually based my sona off of the Peacock Jumping Spider. It's one of my favorite spiders!
The whip spider was cg of course but they probably had one on hand to observe for the movement and design. Whip spiders make great pets, apparently. But i knew you would love the first one, the colors are glorious and so brilliant.
on the whip spider, the spindly legs and baldness are actually because it is more of a cave dweller, they have horrible eyesight so the two super long legs that stick out are used as feelers, one off to the side and one in front. The pincher looking things are actually it's pedipalps and they move in an arm grasping motion which is really kinda cute, like it's trying to give you a pointy hug. X3 heheh. I might have to start crocheting spider plushies. X3 oh gosh.

Yeah, I figured it was a cave dweller or something by the way it's abdomen is shaped(and honestly, it's pretty weird looking too, and a lot of strange thing live in caves haha)
