oCe did a big batch of these busts back in Bapril. I first saw his (her? does gender really matter in this community? why is English so hell bent on enforcing gender divisions with its stupid pronounness? I need a gender-neutral pronoun from some other language that doesn't have 'object' associations, or 'plural' associations like 'it' or 'them'!! Dammit, someone help me out .. maybe 'es'?)I first was drawn to THEIR busts when I came across Duncan's awesome bust, so I just had to get one of Aram, because GREEN! And yellow, in my case. And some black and a little beige. Dammit, Duncan, you make Aram look so complicated.
Anyhow, yes. Those eyes! Those flowers! That's Aram's rosewreath btw. Sometimes depicted as actual flowers, but in the D&D game it was made of brass, bronze, and copper. But yes, her overall look is so cool! I really should add this to her ref page! O_O

Singular they is grammatically correct and widely accepted.
"It" or "es" could be considered condescending, careful with that.
Zir and similar pronouns are not that common :).

I just have a Jackie Chan sketch session behind my back - lots of super dynamic fun poses that would fit her.
Singular they as in:
"I like oCe, they are a talented artist." or "This picture is from oCe - it shows their ocelot character"
I hear it quite often, dunno.

I use 'they' a lot that way, but I wouldn't call it singular. The verb 'are' implies plural. It is generally accepted, 'tis true, but grammatically ambiguous without context. I guess in the case of this posting, I had enough context to indicate that when I say 'they' I mean 'oCe, whatever the gender'. I just ... gah. ;)

Oh, ok, so they're making a distinction between semantically singular and syntactically singular. I like that. That works for me and resolves the thing in my head that says "it's grammatically plural, so using it in the singular sense is wrong!"

And woot! Aram doing some crazy Jackie Chan karate action would be stellar. XD Perhaps I'll be able to remember to remind you, but I'm notoriously bad at that. ;)
