Jakes. Both are serving with the military and so must spend long periods of time separated by enormous distances, but the times between seem all the sweeter! They recently got married, so this was a wedding present from ltgreywolf to jakes. Congrats, both of you!

We will get the same benefits as heterosexual couples, my mate actually got his 6 day leave for free since Virginia doesn't allow same sex marriage. He was able to come back to Connecticut, where we met and I am stationed, for the marriage. Come next June I will be transferring back to the submarine fleet, and I will be able to put in for COLO (co-location) and it will put me at the same base as him.
This is very awesome to hear. While I am Canadian, I still salute every Man and Woman in the armed forces. Some of my views may differ, but thank you for your service, and congratulations on the news.

military relationships can be really tough, and now Krieg and i are stationed in different areas too D: but if you can survive a deployment half a world apart, a few thousand miles apart is bearable. i'm still totally in love with the piece you did for us, and when i get sad, its a good reminder that our hearts are always with eachother <3
