"This land may burn.... but I stay...."
One of these kind of images I had in my brain for a while, always wanted to do something with more flames, something really burning but still with that cell and animation feel to it ;)
Mainly done for that How to draw book again, not sure if I will use it in the end.
All done including the inks in Photoshop + tablet, based on a sketch.
FULLVIEW is healthy! :D

Buhuhu ovo .. those fire effects are so PURDY jeez you even got the embers right. *preens* Good gryph ^v^
The overall theme on this page is neat, and you managed to set the atmosphere just right. Can really feel the heat ovo.
Good job on the gryph too, but you always draw them well ;). I do really love how you do beaks, tho ovo it's just so ... perfect.
Sorry if I kiss your butt too much, 'kay >v> Just a huge fan.

absolutely stunning, the delightful addition of fire makes it just that much better. I really like how you drew the gryphon, you can see the lines of tension and being stuborn. Yet some weird way catch how loyal he is to the land even as its burning around him ^^ A++ as usual dear
Beautiful job I love the composition of this piece and the coloring is wonderful. I love how you handled the reflective light of the fire off of such a dark pelted Griff. The posing is wonderful and the sparks thrown off the fire is a nice touch to the overall feeling of heat and the blaze of the fire itself. The detail in the fire and the grass is well done and the muscular detail in the Griff is stunning. You really created a very dramatic and emotional piece.
