Always here for you Work in progress
Imagine that you have made the impossible, to return from the death to join your beloved, to hold the promise you did to her just before your sacrifice.
But she's no longer alive. She made that mistake to think she will return to you in her desesperate act.
What will you do then? Will you return to her in the death?
Life is like being chained. You think you can move, that you can escape from those old demons who are still consuming you slowly and without respite, and run after that ray of light which will bring joy in your cloudy existence, but you're chained, and that everlasting.
There is no hope. That's just a fact.

This is just an alternative to the Cursed III's part of the story. That is not in the story.
Inked the 19th March 2008. Will be colored one day.

Bon ok.. je me tais....

wow deep, i love the wings on her Amiral, also the idea of being chained is true, it's how hard your willing to work to break the chains that matters < )
kinda a real heartbreak to find out she died after he came back...I'd be satisfied with the thought and knowledge that she is waiting for me in -insert wanted afterlife here- and that I could be with her again after I survive the trials of this world one more time... isnt that what were all doing? surviving the day to day things that get us down to move on to the next day?
...really nice line art Amiral ^^

at first it seems rather light-hearted with her comforting her lover.
then one reads the description, and it looks sad beyond words. very intense.
indeed, what to do now? commit suicide, hoping you will find her on the other side? what if there are more than one afterlife, what if she found her way back to life while you pass away? will it be like an eternal "Ladyhawk" moment, constantly missing each other.
but then again, waiting seems so cruel. as is the despair, the feeling of failure, of ineptitude.
suicide does seem an option. but maybe he is now immortal, too, unable to die again forever. what to do now? wait until this universe dies, hoping to be reborn together in the reborn universe?
I don't think I need to praise the detailed wings, the ornaments, chains and expressions. we all know they are once again impressingly amazing.

Laydhawk... This is exactly the dilemma.
My story doesn't have a good ending, I have to tell. Because it blames the immortality fetish with several examples, and Aesir or his sister Freya would tell a lot too if someone ask them. That's not a hazard if my story is called Cursed you know?
Thank you a lot for your kind comment Anbessa, that's truly appreciated.

oh yeah, the curse of Kain... immortality has severe drawbacks.
I have seen a movie once with a similar theme, where those who reach immortality also become sterile, so at least they wouldn't have to watch their children grow old and die. I belive it was either one of the "Highlander" movies, or the series.
and you manage to play on ym emotion organ with your art, which is something _I_ appreciate truly either, so at least I can tell you my thoughts, yes?

WOW! Not many pieces make me actually WOW. But this... damn... I mean, come on. Just look at those wings! Those are so beautiful. The feathers, just like the chain links, are all drawn in so intricately and come together in such a wonderful way. Plus Bothan, looking just as lovely as usual.
As for the medifore, I can surely relate, but... those chains are only as strong as you let them be. I for one let them be unbreakable for the longest time. If you can prove yourself strong enough to beat the impossible, the demons weigh and hold you down no more than a puff of cotton, the chains crumble in your hands like mud thats been dried in the sun, you find yourself in a new eternity, and the empty hallow you've felt for so long slowly begins to fill. It's so nice to be able to walk freely again.
I really love this piece. Please do color it soon.

J'étais où? Bonne question...

Something are just the way they are....(ref. Trilogy)
