oh i really know that feel and its sometimes a big trouble. feeling unmotivated ,uncreative, and like the head is kinda "empty".
its just hard to be ready for work when it will be needed...
something, what really helped me is a big collection of pictures (or collages i made out of them)
which id rather use as ref, at first they act as "creative-triggers" okay, this sounds like a silly word, but i don't have any better translation/english word for them, i use to make up new words for my personal notes to describe things which where going on in my head, and as long i understand what they mean..whatever.
think about stuff which trigger your creativity. this can be a special kind of music ( classic or soundtrack music for ecample)
favorite stiles of other artist, manga, comics, cartoons ect ect
just find a few thing, which just make you feel inspired, and make you feel you want to draw.
the trick is to finding the balance between browsing your creative triggers and don't spent too much time for looking something inspirative, because you still need a little bit time to draw too.
so, it will be helpful to start some little collection, which you can quickly look at and don't have to look for hours over the www or your hard disc...make a folder on your desktop or print a few things so you can quickly look at it. then if you have started your collection, brows a bit, and if you got an idea/feel inspired , start to draw and stop browsing. if you where finished or the inspiration lost it effekt, browse a bit again.
ect ect
i hope this description isn't too messy, and sorry for my weird way to tell things in english, i hope this plain what i tried to say, and maybe it is a little bit helpful.
