The oldest musical instrument ever found is a 40,000 year old flute made from the legbone of a bear. That means some caveman went out, killed a bear in some kinda epic battle, took its skin for clothes and meat for food, then took its femur and made it into a flute, possibly to play songs about the very battle with the bear to get the flute. Which to me says that heavy metal music is at least 40,000 years old XD
This might sound weird, but actually, this was inspired by the music from the Darkmoon Fair in World of Warcraft. The old Darkmoon Fair music, I mean, back before MoP, when it used to be an event that happened once a month in the regular world map instead of being its own island like it is now.
