Finally some background on the guy ^ ^

Shadowedge made his debut as a costume vigilante 20 years ago. At about the same time, give or take a year or two, Shademan also started his own crusade against crime. The two mystery men had nothing in common. Shadowedge was a fighter, a brawler and a standard street vigilante with a taste for the eccentric. Shademan however is a total opposite. His is, in all sense, a mastermind. A man who calculates and planes and rarely goes into battle. Though that doesn't stop him from fighting. He usually resorts to less violent yet sneakier methods. His, what he considers his crowning achievement, was the time he managed to freeze the New York mob's assets. No money at all. Then as a message to any other such organization, he kidnapped the mob boss's oldest son and killed him by burning down the family's own casino on top of him. He certainly has a flair for the theatrical. Shadowedge is a lot more bombastic. He gets the attention easier because of his less subtle actions. A full scale man hunt by the NYPD was organized to catch him. But every time they tried that against him, he'd disappear of the face of the Earth and only come back when the heat died down. The same went for the Shademan but less frequent because of his secretive ways.

It was believed that the two black clad vigilantes worked together. It's still a theory to this very day. What they don't know, what nobody (not even their fellow vigilantes) know is that Shadowedge and Shademan are the same person. A mad yet brilliant man who didn't choose one method of fighting crime but two. That way, both sides of his broken psyche would be satisfied, the insane violent one and the still brilliant, calculating one.
