Long before all this hype about today's so-called 'energy drinks' (like Red Bull, Full Throttle, and Monster), there was Jolt Cola - a beverage with extra caffiene - usually associated with college and high school students who'd take it while cramming for their finals.
Needless to say, Jolt was an easy target of opportunity for many an anthroartist.
Take, for example, Gnar Cola - a high-octane concoction - created by
Amarafox of Canada. Her 'fox-shark' character usually promoted the stuff, guaranteeing that its consumer will be quite wired for a while.
Around that same time, during the 1990s, I came up with Bloat Cola (during my run in "The Dallas Brawl Update"). This alternative soda was guaranteed to keep its drinker up all night... but not because it has extra caffiene; Bloat Cola has extra carbonation!!
On one particular occasion, I'd decided to 'snail-mail' Amara, and (with the letter) I threw in an illustration of our respective 'fursonas', engaged in a potential trade-off of our respective cola products (imagining what each other will become, following its consumption).

To be fair, FT, they were giving away lots of cans of Full Throttle and Monster energy drinks at "Calle Ocho" last Sunday. But my amigo El Funimal and I never partook of a single ounce of the stuff...
EF is diabetic, too, and I've been trying to cut back on my caffiene consumption (you know; decaf coffee, whiite chocolate, that sort of thing).
Oh, we still took cans of that crap, but we gave it all to EF's brother. The sibling has two kids of his own, and he needs the rush - just to keep up with them!
