This is something I ended up drawing during my office hours to tease my Metaphysics professor.
That quote is from the philosopher Hume, who pretty much is saying "fuck you" to metaphysics.
Meinong is a metaphysics philosopher that writes about how ideas can exist, but they don't really exist, they subsist, and there's this quasi-existence and...yeah. It's confusing, and boring, and it makes a grad class arguing for 2 hours about semantics.
So...commit that bastard to the flames and make delicious s'mores

I mostly know his work with empiricism, which makes for a good foundation in terms of the epistemic school of thought. It has a place to counteract the idealists and the innate knowledge theologians, though I don't think he got it entirely right and end up agreeing more with later philosophers, but yeah...
