More headcrabs! I guess I left the poison and normal headcrab alone too long, because they have spawned young!
Actually, what happened is Valve is selling 2/3-size headcrab plushies. Still no new headcrab hats, boo! But these are about the right size to fit on a plushie's head, as the uncomfortable-looking fox demonstrates. (The far right crabbie is gripping the foxie's tail. You can't really tell from this angle, but it is.) The little headcrabs are better made and colored than the hat ones, oddly enough.

I painted the poison one myself, and it was a giant pain. First I tried dyeing it, twice (the second time with a double dose of black cloth dye). Didn't work. Hardly changed the color at all! The only thing that turned black was the interior. Then I tried spray on cloth dye. Also didn't work. Finally I bought fabric paint and painstakingly painted the damn thing. Must have taken 4 hours to get the painting done, and it ended up really stiff. Also, I seem to be mildly allergic to the dye -- it makes my scalp itch, so I wear the brown one more at cons.

The two larger ones are headcrab hats, which Valve has been out of for a year. One I painted as a poison headcrab, the other is the original colors save for a bit of "blood" on its fangs.
