sorry for the typos
Hello again I been piecing this together all day during the day. It's a char sheet to a possible fantasy universe. Something like the oblivion darker realm or Stephen King Dark Multiverses that I called Lume from the Portuguese Fire or Plasma Plume.
The real of Lume is under a eternal curse of being in a never ending war. Over the ages the inhabitant of Lume developed this characteristic looks. But this doesn't make them less humane...well they are a bit devilish. But the point of the story is that in war specially a never ending one there is always place to equilibrium of human and inhuman behavior. I like to think that a monster... the homicidal and psychopathic kind, aren't very adept of having children so being the second and third generation of warrior would be more and more mentally stable and resistant to psychological trauma. Of course this would make them more aggressive and more animal like.( animals are pretty stable and can adapt to human war times.) Also another good point to the story is the parallelism of having it compared to our never ending, every more competitive world. I think I want to make this grey characters surprise the reader when they show what they were not expecting compassion, love and affection.
One of the traits of this characters is handicaps and upgrades. Because they live in a war they loose and replace parts of their bodies, almost like a Kafkian metaphor they adapt and change physically and mentally. Another author that think that influences me in this story in Nietzsche because there a lot of cold truths in this world and a lot of mistakes based on over confidence, wrong judgement and stereotypical valuation of character.
I still developing the story I'm still searching the feeling that I have about it with out much concern about pinning down the story
All the characters names are in Portuguese and I don't have a background story on them. Only some ideas on Corisco... he is a "bit" brain damaged he was infused with magic essence when a magic shrapnel entered his brain (he was attacked with a Magic granade/mine/bombarda) so now he doesn't talk much or express much feeling and have to be taken care by Centelha his sister, but other wise he is terrifyingly powerful. Centelha have a deep nose and neck wound so she have a protective helmet, she also have a artficial leg. Fogo and Fusco are highly upgraded warrior, one is mr perfect with god complex and the other is a bit like Rochard at the Watchmen, a bit crazy and grumpu but deepdown decent.
what doesn't kill makes us stronger and more strange
I'm open to questions so please feel free to ask

you know I just think I have too much of the same, I guess I still have to create a reverse pole but I'm trying to create a conflict in the story but I think the main conflict is a bit psychological, like learning to overcome something or realizing something important in life or accepting other. I guess I can focus in each character something like this...some what like the Wizard of Oz or The Dark Tower
Oh my - it's been years since I read The Dark Tower. I think you should just go with it and let the conflict show itself naturally. Each of the characters has a disability - that's a start.
Of course - every writer is different and writes in a different way. Some have to map out every little detail before they even begin.

Thanks again for the great advice. I normally am a bit meticulous with detail, but I learn that as in great paintings to much details is unuseful. Detail should be used to focus attention in things that really mather otherwise turns to be noise. And as in great paintings, better to leave room to imagination while painting. I like to be naturalistic intuition is a great ally other wise I feel a bit to anxious
I really like the dark tower, I don't know if you share the same feeling. For me was a bit of a shock when the lobster cut off his fingers. I don't know if that was the trigger moment but you know that every story have a initial moment and initial object well for me was like awake up alarm very graphic and strange moment for me...well all the eight books where great specially if you already have read the other related stories of SK. For me was mind blowing. Love Neil Gayman American Gods also ...but I don't read a lot I must say
ahhhhh and we're back....
these days I don't get to read a lot either. Most of my free time is taken up with writing. Other than that it's work and then house work. The last thing I read by Steven King was written under his pseudonym and after reading it I could understand why he did that - it was so dang depressing!

hum away with depressing books I may get addicted to them. Well I like more melancholic and depressing but not in the sense of "oh poor me" thing
hey vixyy ever thought about making some of your stories into audiobook, since it can make your stories more broadly known. Ok that may take a bit of time an know how to make your stories into audio but I think with time it can make you more dependent of your work as a writer.
I know that some writer hate this kind of things but I think who better to narrate your stories then you.
