It's much nicer to see it from the land then on one of those boats that go near the falls themselves. That water hits you hard no matter WHERE you are on the boat.

Ive always wanted to see Niagra Falls, but never have enough money to go myself.
but from what I do see (like this picture) it seems to be a very awesome
thing to go experiance first hand.

I have been to the fall about 15 - 20 times. Often used it as a departure point for entering Canada. I crawled over the barricades and gotten way too close and traveled in a boat to the closest allowable distance. That was when I was younger and more agile (stupid). Now you hear about a 325 lb man bouncing off the rocks at the base of the falls.
