Someday I'm going to have to get a hold of some really good sushi and try it because all the sushi I've had so far is not anything to write home about. Don't get me wrong, I like it but it's just sticky rice and cut bait. I've been told I've eaten pretty good sushi in the past but to me the better it is supposed to be, the less flavor it typically has. It does have a wonderful mouth feel and a drop of wasabi or eel sauce adds all the flavor I can handle. Thing is I get the exact same enjoyment from a ball of sticky rice as I do from anything else. Is it just me or have I not had the good stuff yet? Is it more a visual thing than an actual tasty dish like a lot of mainland Chinese delicacies? Is the nearly 50 years of carbon scoring on my tongue from BBQ, hamburgers and filet mignon made me incapable of distinguishing the subtle nuances?

I never took you for being a sushi fan until someone mentioned it at MFM. I actually had dinner three nights at Osaka. You can never have enough sushi!

Sushi is epic! It's one of the most unique things I've eaten, and delicious. ^^

Yagumo Sushi, in Van Nuys, California. Order a #10 Spicy Ninja Hand Roll. Eat the whole thing. Chew it 20 times. Swallow. No water. Or anything else. Stand still for five minutes. If you can do this, I'll pay for it. >:D
