While browsing the nets, I found a disturbing fact - nobody is drawing NPCs! Almost every charr I found is someone's player character or a totally random charr. Tybalt Leftpaw or Rytlock Brimstone occassionally get mixed into the picture, but others virtually do not exist for fans. Shame!
Therefore, I dare all the other artists/Guild Wars players/charr fans - draw your favorite charr NPC. Anyone, be it kennelmaster Warsnout, scholar Inkblood or Legionnaire Backdraft. Honor your legions! (And if, by any chance, you do, make sure to link me, I want to see.)
I know I will again in the future. Next week, maybe? Weekly charr challenge. Sounds right. And just what the doctor ordered when she said I need some repetitive stable order in my life.
Today, I present General Almorra Soulkeeper. This cool old lady had her whole warband killed when Kralkatorrik woke. But did she curl up and die with them? Did she become a gladium, the most despised charr right after an outright traitor? No! She went and founded a totally badass warrior order. (Even from their main theme, The Vigil Goes to War, you can tell how awesome that order is). She also sends the player to recruit simply the best two charr that ever walked on Tyria, so there go more points for her. Only downside was her appointing me to work with Warmaster Forgal. Those pink eyes will haunt my nightmares...

Well, pretty much every NPC is underappreciated, save maybe Tybalt and Rytlock. Other than that, people usually draw random charr or their own player character (nothing wrong with that, really). That's why I dare others to try as well!

Oh much so, but I mostly think this is attributed to them not standing out as much or not seen very long. Those who take the time to research or get to know them a bit more usually see the more interesting side of them. Such as our dear general here.
I'd draw such if I could, but currently restricted to commissions. Still an option though!

So I'm coming to this piece rather late as a recent GW2 player myself but I wanted to say this is a fantastic piece of Almorra. Having just caught up through all of the story in the last month or so, this is such a fitting piece dedicated to her. I'm so glad art like this exists and she definitely deserves a place in it. :)
