First of all I'd like to bring everyone's attention to the fact that Rhinoceros is spelled incorrectly in FA's species tag.


Okay, so I was inspired by the logo on Blue Rhino propane tanks-- a blue rhino with a flame instead of a horn-- and wanted to design some rhinos of my own with different things in place of their horns. And holy crap it is so much fun ;v; I'm calling them 'decorator rhinos' for now, kinda like decorator crabs!

I am certainly planning to make more of these, especially if there's a lot of interest in them, so if anyone has suggestions please toss 'em at me! C:


These rhinos are for sale, first come first serve, buyer will receive the unwatermarked image of their rhino once payment has been sent! I would highly prefer you didn't change their designs too much, though it is up to you ultimately, and I ask that you credit me for the original design.


candle - SOLD blithedragon -[/b]
This rhino's the simplest of the batch; I tried to make it look like its body was made of wax as well as its candle-horn! I imagine the candle wouldn't ever melt all the way down, since this rhino is constantly growing more candlewax to replace what drips away.

bonsai - SOLD missscythe -[/b]
This one has a bonsai tree for a horn! It grows vines which it drapes around its body to keep them from snapping off. Moss is also gathered along its back, as camouflage. The bonsai tree-horn probably keeps its eyes nice and shaded from the hot sun! c:

pink-banded rhodochrosite - OPEN - make an offer
I based this rhino off pink-banded rhodochrosite which is one of my favorite gemstones. I really love her a lot, and I'm sort of unwilling to let her go unless I get a really excellent offer for her to someone I know will give her a great home. ♥

turquoise - OPEN - $8
Another favorite gemstone of mine! This one's supposed to look like it's made of smooth rock, with the turquoise growing out of its feet and head.

scarlett waxcap - ON HOLD creoste $8[/b]
Mushroom rhino! I searched a while to find a mushroom I thought looked nice, and finally found the scarlett waxcap. This rhino may or may not also take a little inspiration from fire belly toads-- you know, 'toadstool'? Get it? xD

dragonfruit - ON HOLD creoste - $8[/b]
Ah this one was so fun! It has a ripe dragonfruit horn as well as little dragonfruit toenails that haven't quite ripened yet. The body is patterned to match the inside of a dragonfruit.
