These are a project that I did for a color theory class here at SCAD. Basically we had to take a manhole cover (lower left), a stop sign (upper right), and a rail road crossing sign (lower right) and use only the shapes while changing the meaning, eg. the stop sign doesn't have to say or mean stop. I took the picture because my teacher is putting my work in a touring gallery of student work that is going to be shown for over a year. I am a sound design student, and my teacher is completely amazed at the kinda work I was doing in that class. I actually surprised myself. The process though was so natural, i didn't have to think about it much. She especially loved the rail road sign, cause the way I colored it, if you were to put it in amongst some trees, it would totally blend in, which is the total opposite of it's purpose. Opposites is kinda the theme for the whole collection.
