As much as I love LoK-- and just the entire universe surrounding the ATLA/LoK series-- Korra's character in the newest two episodes is really starting to get on my nerves.
I feel like the writers are just making her get irrationally angry to drive the plot along (ouch the pacing is terrible) and, anger aside, her ease at using the avatar state for simple things like winning games frustrates me to no end.
Mako's character is also bugging me because it seems like they've almost completely dropped his stick-up the ass attitude to have him act creepily supportive as a boyfriend. I mean it's always been relatively clear that Mako is dorky and somewhat motherly, but it's like that single trait has been blown way out of proportion to force their relationship to seem doable when it honestly felt half-assed at best in the first season.
As I continue to rant-- Eska's voice (and Desna's to a lesser extent) really irritates me. It feels like the most expected and poorly executed voice that they could have possibly given the twins. That, and her behavior towards Bolin creeps me out.
BUT, on the bright side:
-Bolin.
-Varrick.
-Hot water tribe dads.
-Tenzin/Bumi/Kya interaction.
-Beautiful scenery.
-Awesome potential for Jinora to be an important character.
-Asami being a badass business lady (that will hopefully get more screen time.)
-Spirit world mumbo jumbo.
ATLA/Lok belong to Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino.

LOL oh my god this
I felt the SAME way about pacing and Korra acting like a complete bitch :I and the pacing being superspednotimeforbreathingshoveinyourface; glad someone else agrees. After all, Tenzin has done so much for Korra, she could have been like "Tenzin I appreciate your concern but I feel like this is a better course for me" but no she's all "TENZIN GTFO" :c and then totally blows off Mako. What gives?
I am excited for the spirit world business though *o* it looks badass already

Yess the pacing is what was really getting to me, characters aside JENgktrhyth
And omg yeah. Like I do understand that Korra is frustrated and she has a right to be frustrated over a number of things, but I also wish that she would handle these things better and grow as a person. It seems like she's regressed, rather than progressed, from where the first season left off?
Yesss omgg I am too ; U ;

Like seriously :I
All my friends are fangirling over here and I'm sitting there watching the new episodes like ... WAT?
I mean I feel the same way, the original series is MY LIIIIFE <3 and I do still like Korra but the original was able to have plot and character so easily it was almost effortless, and in this the characters are totally not solid at all :/ and c'mon TT w TT I love Bolin <3

Mhmm, it's definitely not living up to ATLA :C
I just wish that they had gotten the go ahead to make more than one season off of the bat. I feel that they could have make LoK a MUCH better sequel had they only the time to do so.
That being said, I am still disappointed with how the pacing is going.

Yeah their pacing is terrible. For ATLA, the bad guy was BUILT up to and you don't see him until you're a good chunk into the series. In Korra, you see Amon RIGHT away! Not to mention her and Mako smack the plot out of the water because love triangles are so SUPAH TRENDY lol
I want to get into a debate about Korra, and as multimedia as a whole because I feel that the world at large is very unappreciative of certain trends, but really I know that people will always find there own little thing to harp on because they would've done something different.
With that logical circuit into consideration, it seems quite silly to debate at all.
But i love this picture.
It was. I havent. Laughed so hard i cried a bit in. A long ass time. I was choking. The naga.
The naga i forgot the name was naga
and it took em a second
then hit me like a ton of bricks faaaaaaack.
UGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH this is the best thing ive ever seen of korra <33

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWhaTiqFItU This is really all I can see to this.
The season is over and I can still agree to this. Seriously. I understand that Korra was kind of edgy and free spirited in the first season but like this season she's been angry at everything and it wasn't til the finale was when she actually seemed back to her normal self. Same with Mako like they wrote a completely different character in my opinion. Like he was supposed to be loyal and understanding and did the right thing no matter what, but the whole Korra to Asami to Korra thing was like totally out of character. They made it clear he protects and cares for the people he loves and is always level headed which totally didn't happen. The only thing I absolutely loved about this season was the episodes of Wan, the animation and style was absolutely beautiful
