Are they white ducks, or some fancy kind?

I'm not sure what breed they are (we were given the parents in barter for eggs). The mother is a sort of tan/buff while the father is all crazy coloured (bright orange legs with green wings) :shrugs:

Aye. I've always enjoyed ducks. They're the best of the poultry.

Consulting google, they look a lot like Rouens and I know hatcheries around here offer those so it sounds like a good bet.

As far a temperament goes, I wouldn't know, I had little contact with them until they laid their eggs at which point they (understandably) became quite defensive. Chickens, of course, are nasty brutes at all times though I've generally found turkeys to be quite amiable and good-natured...

Uh-huh there're twelve of them... That's a lot of duckling!
