Thank you :) Those aurorae can be beautiful, near magical - just blazing across the sky. I've had a few lucky chances to witness some in person too, and wanted to bring out the intensity of it.

And yes :) I'm quite glad if I managed to give it the feel of a traditional painting. I used ArtRage, which is pretty neat and does a nice job with mixing colors and things you'd do with traditional mediums.

You mean adding more of a blue to the color of the lake? I tried playing with it some both with an overlay and some re-painting, but it didn't really come out to my liking.

At any rate it's not meant as a 1:1 painting, there's some artistic freedom involved too :)
