I have been wanting to lean to a more sci-fi pic for ages now since I love the genre :3 After this, I am going to touch up the pic and place him in the cockpit (as you can imagin, instead of Joshua's hands on his paws, he will be holding the controls and will have his helmet on too :3 )

Dhaww.. Sweet pic man!!
Well he is only grounded for now, right? (ohs... just noticed the wreck in the background) at least he came out of it unharmed..
I really love the details and cleanliness. I'd live to get someone to draw me in my blue flightsuit as well...
-offers a hand up and a flight back to the base...-

well, funny you should put up a sci-fi pic...
shani-hyena and I actually started a Sci-Fi RP, and I'd love to have Joshua join the crew of the Harbinger =3

Damn, this has me itching for a furry-ized version of BattleTech . . . the only problem I foresee is explaining how furries wouldn't overheat even more easily than humans in a mech cockpit.
That suit is really damn cool though. I love stuff like this and await more in the future!

YAY!!! I've been waiting for this ^^ Oh wow... you are the only person I know who can wear a cute little bell and still look absolutely badass!!! I LOVE your space suit... not just because it's tight in all the right places ;) Seriously, it looks amazing though, really, really cool. I love the serious, determined expression on your face too. And I see your ship is in the background too, didn't notice that until I saw the full sized... you're always amazing at the details.
This is also giving me some ideas *grin*

Wow! O_O
That's amazing! I mean it, man, your work is always so breathtaking! =O
If you don't mind indulging us, are there any tutorials available for your particular colouring, shading, and highlighting style? It's very astounding!
Also, was it photoshop or an alternative prorgramme?
Sorry, I am super curious. >_<

Well, looks good, but looks like a suit by motorcycle (without offending), maybe you will try something different, I´m drawing Ci-fic suits and... well, I would give you some ideas on the future, OK? The colors and all the things are ok, but I think you need work more with the suit (leave a little the nudily draws and make a concentration on this point)
Joshua sits and growls, "This isn't fair...what did I do wrong this time?"
Zen sighs, "Took my star fighter without permission, took off without orders, broke the frontier defense grid, exposed the Feline Empire's trade route security patrol to danger, got lost outside the gamma perseid system, shot up the Ambassadors ship...."
Joshua grins and shrugs, "Only that..."
Zen just continues, "Ran from the patrol, broke the sub light speed limit in system, and CRASHED my yiffing ship."
"Okay so what punishment do I get." Joshua purrs andstrokes Zen's cheek.
Zen blushes, "I will think of something...you are too cute to be mad at."

very nicely done. I love the flight suit... and the fact that it's skin tight... and that it looks like he's not wearing any under garmets.
I know how hard it is to do Sci Fi stuff though. I'm working on power armor and it's a pain in the rear. Not the good type of pain either.

What's the story/game and what's he flying? This from an old geezer who started watching scifi back in the 50's watching The old Flash Gordon and Buck Rodgers serials, starring Buster Crabbe, These serials were made in the 30's, with background music from Lizst's Les Preludes. Greeat old movies.
Now that you mention it, there is a sequel in the works. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1196243/

This may seem like a totally inappropriate compliment if I'm way off, but I always find myself wondering whether there's a slight pawfan in you somewhere, just by the way you often draw your characters' hands interacting with their paws. It's something I personally rather enjoy, as I do in this one! Lol!
That's right, you do like those kind of computer games, don't you. Well for your first attempt at a more Sci-fi drawing, this one certainly gets high marks. It's certainly up to your usual standards, the wrinkles in his flight suit, the straps at his wrists and the re-enforced patches on his knees, and the heavy duty collar. What I like the most though is the serious, narrow mothed expression on his face, the intesity in his eyes; this isn't Joshua pretending to be a space pilot, with a naughty wink, one look at this drawing and there is utterly no doubting the whole, utter seriousness of this drawing, the crashed fighter in the backgroud only provides punctuation to the image.
Josh as fighter jock seems to be a popular idea, Zen. You can hardly blame him for wanting to stretch out before being crammed into a cockpit that fits almost as tightly as his pressure suit for who knows how long at a time. (Bathroom breaks in that thing must be a solid gold b***h!) Does that bell collar really fit uniform code, though?
Josh is hot in whatever he wears or doesn't wear. And you are just excellent.

A few quick aesthetic questions...
Your bloom is amazing from the rear lighting, but you may end up lowering that bloom to highlight the explosions along the sky. While your subtle explosions are fine, yes, but I think they need to be properly accented. Now, the question is, where id the main inspiration come from for the flight suit and why did you choose to use such a high lighting?
How did you attain the wonderful blend between the earth and sky?
And finally,
The position Joshua is in is a bit strange for my eyes, but I must ask, what gave you the idea for the facial expression?
Anyway, fine work and a fine mix of art and blending.
I'd give it an A.

I keep coming back to look at this because it's a scaryily good analogy of life at the minute.
When the ground is a long way away, you don't need to worry about it too much. However, if you mess up it comes up to meet you very quickly. Now I'm struggling to get airborne again and recapture that feeling of flying.
