At first I though the tree exploded in a giant blood cloud, but then I focused on it. I love the jelly fish though, that's a really awesome touch!

Not weird in the least. I love the sensation of movement the colors imbue this piece with. The whole piece feels so alive and in motion..and..naturally, I am a complete sap for hints of the aquatic in terrestrial themes <:.

Anyway, the anime I was referring is really old I think. It was a talking cat who suffer from hunger and lost his family. Forced to travel he worked for some times in a barn where other cats must collect fireflies on trees. Now you have the story ;)

yeah it came from my head, i seriously dont rip off stuff like that, also i dont like those comparisions, just because someone drew a wolf doesnt mean it has to be inspired or come from some wolf anime
but there you go:
i drew tree
then added cats
then thought of jellyfishes and boom
never heard of that anime either

i just see too many comments like 'REMINDS ME OF MONOKE' under any white wolf/deer drawings
its quite annoying and not flattering or nice to hear at all
i understand you meant no harm etc but its MY THING that makes me mad :p

When someone remembers something from your art, that only means that your art is so beautiful that when people see it, they are remembering professional stuff.
