Ahh, so this gentler blend probably has something acidic added to offset the alkaline. Had no clue that coffee had laxative properties.
...Hmm, actually I looked it up, and apparently coffee is actually quite acidic, and milk an be acidic. :P

Well that pH scale is just wrong, coffee has a pH of like 5 :P
It's still more alkaline than stomach acid, and as far as I know it's a strong solution. The pH alone doesn't mean anything if your solution is weak.
There's iced tea though, they make that in the South. It tastes really good if you make it with just black tea, sugar and ice.
