*shudder* A perfect (and rather unusual) study in dragon mood: wise, arcane and a little malign. Nothing fluffy or gentle about that one, I'm sure. Not necessarily a comfortable piece to look at, but beautifully done.

His piercing stare has a look of mischievous confidence one would expect of a dragon. The solemn expression shows such beautiful poise. His predatory nature is self-assured, and yet seems sedate and controlled. I'm proud to be associated with him.

A bit iffy on the shading, if only because I'm not too sure where the light is coming from, a few places are giving me mixed feelings, but it's an excellent example of realism.

After your comment I went and started at it myself and can blatantly see some confusing areas. Thanks so much for pointing that out, I will be keeping a better eye on that next time around.

It's nothing major, I'm just a bit of a lighting freak. Now, what I do like is the fact that you took where the raised sections of bone were on the dragon's face and filled in the shadow there, but for the front side, you shaded in the section to get the point across when the light was coming from that direction it seemed.

All in all, you're very good at conveying the 3d aspect of realism, but instead of using shadow to accent places, consider just added shading.
