Yes, that's the fourth revision for this character. New things keep getting added (or in some cases, subtracted ;) ) to her throughout her life and the storylines I RP her in. She's one of, if not my FAVORITE of all my characters. In case you may be wondering, she's a maned wolf vampire. And a cyborg. And... some other stuff. I pretty much don't follow the traditional vampire rules, ya follow me? She has certain exceptions to the traditional rules. But who doesn't?
Don't talk to me about proportion. I'm painfully aware how short her legs are, and that that far wing is wrong. I just got tired by the time that wing came around. Oh well. *shrug*

the problem might be the mix of bat-like wing structure with added feathers. I would make their end tips rounded, sharp-edged feathers like these can cause air turbulences making it impossible to fly.
all in all, their design looks okay, and reminds me of steampunk. her gorgeous corset (are the wings attached to it?) also hints to that period. she has a sexy costume, a nice face and a pleasant smile. you can always try and work out the kinks in this image. it would be a pity to have laying around unfinished. :)

Well, I don't think many steampunk wings are capable of flight anyway. :P But! I will keep this in mind. I'd never really thought about sharp edges and turbulence because, well... I didn't have a clue. :P
Aye, the wings are attached to the corset, but there are also sensors imbedded in her spine- the brain's gotta tell the wings to fly somehow. :)
Thanks Anbessa! I may finish this later, but I have my doubts that my motivation will overcome my incessant laziness. :P

oh, I can hop over and poke you silly. or pay your boyfriend to do it for me, could be cheaper...
whatever, look out for some tutorial on bird wings for the feathers. alternately the latest char ref sheet by
wolf-nymph is helpful, too. :)
of course, most steampunk items are there for the looks, not for practicability. maybe for LULZ, too, depending on the gamemaster's style. :)

Yeah, I had looked for some tutorials on drawing wings before I tackled this project... but unfortunately... there was nothing for steampunk-style wings that I found particularly helpful. Or maybe I just wasn't looking in the right place... hmm....

Yeah, I have been. In my head I always had her wings as something like these, http://www.unicron.com/alterations/.....gon%20wing.gif but I didn't want to rip off the design- and those don't have much by the way of secondary feathers, either. :(
*grins triumphantly behind shield* Ha! Can't get me.
