kate is one of Demaskis' friends and the third member of his three hybrid monster hunting team.

Her father was a human while her mother was a pure blooded E-Series wolf hybrid.
Due to the nature of her father's work as a bounty hunter she was mostly raised by her mother inside her flower shop. It was natural whatever time Kate did manage to spend with him was filled with stories of his previous 'hunt' or, against the wishes of her mother, was taught field craft, weapon proficiency and taken out on hunting trips.
Kate grew up as a tomboy and when legally old enough, she used her skills to join a private security company for a few years before going mercenary and took any job as long as the pay was good.
eventually her crimes caught up to Kate and she was forced to accept a Darkfire penal contract to avoid her death sentence.
The hat she wears belonged to her father before he passed away from old age.
