You may remember Aruka, the dravene smith. Here's also his spouse, Ulrika, who is an archer...and a head taller than Aruka, who must stand on his tiptoes if he wants to give a smooch.
One can say their relationship is happy, though not what some may expect from a term "happy". Both are well obsessed with what they do - Aruka forges metal all days while Ulrika shoots things and teaches others to shoot things (it's somewhat hard to get good discussion with Ulrika if you don't know anything about archery) and both are at home only to sleep. And neither one can make food. Ulrika could, but if anybody said "go make me a sandwich" they would get their ear pierced with an arrow. Aruka could make a sandwich but he just can't cook anything. Not even a sandwich.
Ulrika is very determined, much no-nonsense -person, uses a lot dry and complicated humor, gets things done effectively. [And she is about typical female dravene by looks and so. Perhaps an inch or two taller than average. Aruka is just short.] Ulrika started to like Aruka because of his many-sided and not easily explainable persona. Aruka instead likes tall and handsome, yet Ulrika's persona hit through too.
