What a difference a month can make!
(PREVIOUSLY: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1098315/ )
So after much thought and picking up our pre-ordered copy of Brawl, we've decided to call the little guy Icarus. As you can see he looks more like a puppy now.
His foot still looks odd sometimes (as seen in the 2 bottom right), but lately it's looked fine (these photos were taken about a week ago).
He looks a bit bloated here... seems he gets a bit constipated sometimes... but not to worry a few hours after these photos he was a slim puppy again.. and we had to hose down the garage. (He normally goes on the grass but sometimes...we just dunno what he's thinking).
On another note, he seems to finally be getting over his extremely bitey phase. Now he's just run of the mill bitey. e.e
I'll be posting a more in-depth report in my journal soon, so keep an eye out. (Will supply a link here once it's posted)
PS: Sable is tolerating Icarus' presence. She's still a little jealous though.
pps: Many thanks to the 2 people who sent in donations for his vet visits, they helped a lot, so thank you very much. Hopefully he won't need to see the vet again for a while.
Note: We are looking into home surveillance options to keep an eye on him from work/yard if anyone has suggestions/help please notify Balade or myself.

Found him wandering the train tracks a month ago.. he used to look like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1098315/
Awhhh, he does look better than he used to, that's for sure.
But he looks as though he's got a bad case of bloating...
"When a dog gets bloated, his stomach fills with gas, making his middle swell up like a balloon. If the gassiness persists, his stomach will twist, blocking off blood flow to his stomach"
Or he might have worms?
I'd take him to the vet.
& he seems to have something wrong with his paw.
:C
Hmmm.
For the breed, I'm guessing.... Lab/Jack Russell?

Hmm... well he's already been treated for worms, so I guess it's gas.. going to have to look into that. As for his paw, it's been improving slowly for the last month or so, for the last 2 days his legs have looked completely normal (more info can be found via the links from that last pic u looked at). We have been binding his legs with support bandages regularly too.
We're not sure if there's any terrier in the mix yet, he's still around 4-5 months old, there's still some growing room.: )

Ohhhh.
Dogs can get it from eating too fast.
The ingestion of air causes the bloating that you see.
If you tap on his belly, and it sounds hollow, he probably has gas.
Some symptoms are:
Attempts to vomit (usually unsuccessful); may occur every 5-30 minutes
"Hunched up" or "roached up" appearance
Bloated abdomen that may feel tight (like a drum)
Pale or off-color gums
Coughing
Unproductive gagging
Heavy salivating or drooling
Foamy mucous around the lips, or vomiting foamy mucous
Unproductive attempts to defecate
Whining
Pacing
Licking the air
Seeking a hiding place
Looking at their side or other evidence of abdominal pain or discomfort
May refuse to lie down or even sit down
May stand spread-legged
May curl up in a ball or go into a praying or crouched position
May attempt to eat small stones and twigs
Drinking excessively
Heavy or rapid panting
Shallow breathing
Cold mouth membranes
Apparent weakness; unable to stand or has a spread-legged stance
Weak pulse
Collapse

Huh, pretty big list there. o.o;
One or two of the milder symptoms seem to fit.
Yeah he pretty much inhales his food. Not sure how to discourage that. Canned food seems to help him poop though, he stopped being bloated after the 5th time he pooped that hour.. Mrfh, what a pickle. -.-;
