Like the opening. The way you hang on the end of the measures just a little is a cool trick for pulling you toward the start of the beat. I think the electric piano could have come in a touch sooner-- might just be me, but I'm feeling like repeating the same pair of measures four times in a row is stretching it. I think it's better if you can throw something else in ever four measures, like the female voice after the electric piano starts. All your instrument choices are great here, though. Everything punches through very clearly and has its own space. The piece sounded fantastic on my Adam A5s, which that bass filling in the bottom beautifully and both vocals and piano all owning their own space. Excellent engineering on this!
Just my old ways of arranging I guess.. I like to lead into the track gradually.. but for this mix I've been learning and experimenting with mastering techniques like multi band compression I used that on the drum tracks to give them the extra punch you hear in this track.. They've added a much needed spectrum analyzer to Reason 7 so EQing is much easier. And it seems I'm getting better with stereo imaging... As you can tell I love the science side of music too. I always try to shoot for a sound that hopefully sounds good on different systems... looks like I did good Boy those long ears don't miss a thing Thanks for the comment and critique!
