Basically, when I do mine, I draw the front of the neck (so the two front pieces together) and add any markings, but it out, and use it as a template. I do the same with the back! Measure the full circumference of the neck, and the length you want the sides, front and back. Sorry that this is more rambling that actual advice. Just woke up x.x
