So yesterday my husband and I decided to go to the Tuxedo Renaissance Festival in Tuxedo, NY to have some fun. I brought Lumine with me because I felt the poor little guy needed to stretch his wings a bit (he's been locked away in a cabinet for the past year to prevent him from becoming an expensive cat toy). He was a hit, as always! So anyway, we're just enjoying the Faire when we see these two awesome fursuiters show up and I couldn't resist getting my picture taken with them! It was my very first encounter with fursuiters -- and they were so sweet! :D
The adorable green bat is
kithkyubi and the chimera is
jyaki! Thanks to the both of them for letting me get this awesome photo! :D

Actually no, they're two different Faires. XP The Tuxedo Renaissance Festival is technically in a place called Sterling Forest, yes, but the Sterling Renaissance Festival is in Sterling, NY -- a tiny little spot near Fonda and Oswego, an hour north of Syracuse (the Tuxedo Faire is closer to New York City; the two are on opposite ends of New York State and it would take roughly 4 1/2 - 5 hours to drive from one to the other). I got married at the Sterling Renaissance Festival -- trust me, they're nothing alike! ;P Sterling's actually bigger and better than Tuxedo, but Tuxedo was still fun and comes after Sterling ends. ^_^
You got married at Sterling! That sounds awesome.
Well, I feel a little better... I was supposed to go to Sterling ren faire on Sunday, but stayed home to study for an exam. I was bummed about not going with my friends--but then "I missed a furry mob too?!" Well, I guess I didn't make a double mistake on this one.
So how was it then? What do they have at the Tux Faire?

It was awesome! ^_^ Everyone had so much fun too!
It's a shame you couldn't go to the Tuxedo Faire -- this past weekend was it's final one, but sometimes there are more important things to worry about -- like tests! XP
It was a lot of fun actually! There are plenty of vendors where you can buy cool things; we bought ourselves new pouches and a trick ceramic mug! ;P We also got to see some of the best shows, including a favorite of ours -- Hey Nunnie Nunnie who also perform at Sterling as well and we're on a first name basis with! :D Maybe you'll get to go to Tuxedo next year; it's worth the trip! Just let me know if you do and we can arrange a meet up and scout for furries, LOL! ;D

No, you can't have too many pouches! They're super practical and if nothing else they make awesome accessories! ;D
LOL, I wondered if you'd ask about the mug! :P It's actually technically called a "puzzle mug;" basically, to the untrained eye it looks like a mug with a whole bunch of holes around the top so when someone drinks from it you're all like, "Holy crap, what are you doing?! You're going to spill your coffee everywhere!!!" But to he who knows the trick and how to use it, through clever positioning of your thumb over a hole on top of the handle you actually sip your drink through a hole on top of the rim which pulls the fluid up through the inside of the deceptively solid but actually hollow walls of the mug. Pretty cool, huh? :D
