I first heard Jesus Christ Superstar in 1977. I but the song given here was not on the original album. I don't know if it was added for the film, or simply omitted from the original cast album. All I know is I did not have to change a single word for it to fit this scene.
And I love how I wrote their prayers, so they all end with, "Why can't I start over?"
