Like many of my comics this is an exaggeration but holds a grain of truth. The cat's scratching post wasn't even six months old and they broke it pretty good one night. Admittedly the thing was also purchased for cheap off of eBay, but it was still disconcerting to wake up to find the whole thing looking like a gorilla had attacked it in the middle of the night.
The scratching post has been replaced, and they managed to attack and destroy a little dangly toy on it, but that was quickly replaced and now they seem satisfied with their new tower.
Hopefully that gorilla won;t visit again anytime soon.
