and after so long, this is the fully finished product, and he was very happy with it XD
if anyone thats not local wants engraving done, you would have to send the object to me along with return postage, and i charge 10$/hr. (this took me a total of about 4 hours because of how detailed it was, and how hard it was to find the letters that he wanted, and the specific star that he wanted)

and it was actually, especially since it was mostly freehand (except for chip, i used letter stencils for that)
