This is the main reason I have slowed down on pumping out work... The Mother of this litter had something happen to her, made her eyes look odd and she wasn't taking care of them... We didn't want them to die so we took them in kind of on the spur of the moment. The kitten on the left gave us a scare the other night... But she is still with us and is improving.
This litter is about three and a half weeks old. There's a black female and a black male, black and white one is a little boy and the white tiger striped is another girl. :)

The only way we would take them to a shelter is if it is no kill and we cannot find them homes. I would say we'd keep the ones we're fostering currently but we already have three adult males. (We only live in a one bedroom apartment... So seven adult cats would be a big no no. But we've handled seven kittens in the past and managed to re-home 5 of them to good homes.)
It's exhausting when they're this little... But so worth it.

The only one we've found for the area where the farm is does females for $45 and males for $35. We're trying to get the numbers down through adoption so that the farm owners can get the remaining adults fixed. We actually looked into a few no kill shelters for the ones who aren't able to get re-homed... Although that is the LAST resort. I'd much rather get them adopted.
