Found a wounded bird today! :O
She's sleepin now and will be brought to a rescue in the morning.
We've called her Georgia Peach in the meantime.
Edit: She unfortunately died literally as we were stepping out to take her to the wildlife rescue. :( At least she had a safe, quiet and warm place to sleep the night beforehand.

I think she may have simply been a mourning dove; you can see the darker spotting a bit on her wings, although her fluffiness isn't helping :p
While it didn't show in this photo, she also had a darker spot near her eye, much like this:

Also, more mourning doves with similar coloration and patterns!:

Sounds like a bad wing and a dose of "fuck it"
I actually had a Robin that got caught in a flash freeze and she chilled in my hand till she was warm enough and took off. Scared the hell outta the bus driver
Hope they can identify and tell ya what the issue is. Curiosity like that is killer

Like humans when a animals injured it's best to seek medical help right away... I heard since birds have smaller blood vessels blood clots from injures can block blood to the lungs brain and even the heart more than us humans. Still we can suffer the same fate if deep wounds, broken or fractured bones are not treated too.
