protect... Although becoming a giant in order to protect the temple seems like an awesome idea, especially if would be attackers are 6 feet, a rampaging skyscraper would make the hell appealing - i have to say ... she may need to watch her step.

As for what she's fighting, it's most likely an extra-planar creature, or perhaps another god-like being, jealous of something she has, or paying some perceived retribution, perhaps? Oh the stories I could weave around this ....
