An older painting. I really don't like it much; the background sucks cute little chickadee ass, but I like the bird itself. C&C welcome, although I have a big list of things I'd change already. I was less experienced with gouache at the time and learned a lot from this.

I don't understand how, but that bird is simultaneously super-duper-extra-adorable and also looks kind of like a jerk. That little dude looks smug. Like he's looking at me, saying, "Hey, lamewads. Look at me. I'm better than you. Hmmph."
