For the first lesson I will be teaching you very simple sentience structures using pronouns and the verb to be (am,is,are) in the Equal form.
Tantar has three ways of speaking, Honorary, Equal, and Downward, each depending on what class level you are speaking too, I'm teaching equal because this is the most commonly used. you wouldn't use honorary unless speaking to a king, royal family member, ceo, high ranking celebrity, person of high honor (knight), or one of the Kennedys .
In tantar, the verb To Be has one regular form in present tense (we will do other tenses later), the word is Ay, pronounced "a. It indeed has irregular spelling but other than that it's a very simple word.
To be = -Ay-
The pronouns are as follows:
Singular:
Me/I: Y~
you: S~
he/she/him/her: L~
It: N~
Plural:
We/Us: Y~"e [or] Y"e
You all: S~"e [or] S"e
They/Them(living): L~"e [or] L"e
They/Them(Inanimate): N~"e [or] N"e
A few random easy adjs/nouns:
Good = Tal"e
Bad = Nal"e
Smart = Car"ot
Red = Ber
Blue = Ska
HOW TO ARRANGE THEM
Now we know a pronoun, a verb, and a few other words but how do you put them together? With dashes that's how!
Take this sentience
Y~-ay-car"ot.
It has a pronoun (y~) a verb (-ay-) and an adjective (car"ot), this is the standard arrangement for a simple "To Be" sentience, and it translates to, I am smart.
Now what other sentences can we make?
ASSIGNMENT : : TRY IT!
Try to write these sentences in tantar:
I am (your name)
You are good.
He is blue.
We are smart.
It is bad.
She is blue.
Blue is Smart.
Smart is good.
they are blue
Red is bad
