“I’d like that. In fact, I’m going to suggest to Father that we host your family at our home. Returning the favor, so to speak.” She leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. “And there’s a nice, private little spot by the river.”
“Is there?” he asked in an amused tone.
“Uh-huh. I go there to read and think, away from my brothers.”
They held paws as they started walking back to the house. “I see. And is that all you do there?”
She gasped a bit, her tail teasing his. “Why, good sir! That’s very forward of you.”
In Part 6 of Rajjan Tor, Isabeau and Ayyub have made each other's acquaintance, and are walking back to his family's house while holding paws and discussing whether they should meet again.
It's the start of their relationship, and the night air is thick with romance.
