I am reminded of a flub-out suffered by an actor in a Chekov play. Far from being the star, he had but one line:
"Dr. Ostrov, the horses are ready".
Simple enough, and he was advised to compensate for his brief part by expressing his one line with all dignity & haughtiness. He rehearsed this, and when his cue came, he came on stage and announced :
"Dr.Horsy, the Ostrovs are ready !"
It's enough to make a man retire from acting and become a hermit !

At least the lonely life of a hermit wouldn't leave him with a... hoarse voice !
