I'd say they're pretty similar in strength to storebought keychains. I use wire inside to help reinforce them and prevent limbs from getting lost in case there is a breakage so repairs are easy. Because of the finish, I wouldn't recommend using them with lots of other keychains (they can get scuffed). Hope that helps!
