
Work in Progress - Tribute Painting
This is a rough sketch of a painting I'm doing for my Grandmother as a gift.
Sadly, it's a memorial piece, as my family and I lost my Grandfather to illness in early September.
Yes, I know his antlers are wonky, that was the case with the reference image as well. I only recently found out that Caribou antlers rarely grow in symmetry, but spiral off kind of randomly. That's really fascinating, so I'm keeping true to the reference instead of making his antlers "pretty" to look at.
Once I start painting I may post more updates.
