Will be fixing this soon
Just what caused this to happen?! I am beside myself! I almost had this finished! I just needed to adjust the markings, smooth everything out, and add detail for her scales, and she'd be finished! But when I opened it after needing to quit and go to Photoshop, this is what happened! 2-3 hours of work, gone! And that's really fast for me!
What happened is that I used the Acrylics brushes in Painter 9. I had it saved, then I had to close the program before I opened Photoshop, because they both take up an enormous amount of CPU processing. Then I opened this back up. I cannot smudge the scratches away, they're there on all layers and I can't erase them. What's really infuriating is that THE BACKGROUND IS COMPLETELY FINE.
crimsonriver, I just wanted you to see this. If you can see enough under the scratches, you can get a good idea of what I had done. I was going to finish this today and send it to you, but I need a break from it, I'm sorry. ;_; Once I get over the crushed feelings I have, I will take it into PS and paint over the colors and render it one more time. I'm sorry to make you wait longer.
If anyone has any ideas about what happened and whether I can avoid it or not, please let me know. -_- I'm going to start making backups in several different file formats I guess from now on.
