Correct. This is just showing an example of it up against a blank, for size comparison. You wouldn't really pin them to your head. :P Normally they would be attached to a hood.
Also, if you put them on a headband the entire bottom might not be mounted, but as long as you solidly mount the 2 points that would be touching it, they're light enough to where they wouldn't fall off one way or another.
