1st off I want 2 point out I dont own these pics I found them on google images.
Well this is sort of a general info for ppl and it is sort of freaky just 2 let u know but this is what my power port looks like the pic in the top left is its exact location on my body and right now its not doing much for me but its how i get my chemo the middle pic is wat the needle looks like that the put in me when they r accessing my port and the pic on the right is just a larger version of the port itself. like i said before currently im not getting my chemo through it but when i fly up 2 the treatment center they do stick the needle in it and draw my blood through it. if any1 is wondering yes it hurt like hell when i 1st had it installed and it took about 2 weeks for it 2 stop hurting. good news right now is that im able 2 sleep on my stomach and it doesnt hurt in fact ive had it for so long now i really almost forget its there unless i take off my shirt in which case yea u can see it pretty well along with the sergical scarr from when they put it in. but again this is pretty much the easy way of getting chemo for ppl who have cancer i wouldnt suggest getting a pick line cause that is more or less an IV with a small tube that starts in your arm and then is pushed all the way up through the vein in ur arm and ends in the same area as shown in the 1st pic so yea not a whole lot of fun but its better then a pick line lol.

Egh... I've been running for blood tests, self medication needling and all kinds of other sharp things for over 20 years now (for something else mind), and still... even a picture of this manages to get that gut squick reaction...
I admire your courage. Both for this and for what you're going through.

:3 thx and i hope they are able 2 fix u for w/e is wrong with u. interesting thing tho is i dont feel when they put the needle in they numb it 1st then say 2 take a deep breath when ur breathing in they pop the ends of it and in goes in then they tape it down with a 3 or 4 inch tube with a cap on the end of it and send u on ur way lol
aw thx :3 the ppl up at CTCA (cancer treatment centers of america) are all really nice like 1 time durring my last trips my oncology team (the drs that study my cancer and are working on curing it) got me lunch from culvers and delivered it 2 me at the infusion waiting room because i was going 2 be 2 late 2 order it 2 be delivered 2 my hotel room after my infusion
yea they r really cool now im thinking about it i should probly post these 3 pics i took when i was up there 1 time its something they do is they have 3 metal trees on the walls around the entrance of the center and each tree has a bunch of leaves on them and each leaf has the name of some1 who came 2 the treatment center beat their cancer and has been in remission for at least 5 yrs the really cool thing is over 70% of the names on the trees where stage 4 (which is basicly about as bad as cancer can be) when they came in
