Recent Stress has caused the formation of a second personality in VoE. He calls himself "The Cruel". The bloody tear is a marking that forms on his fur when he crosses over, and he obviously changes his hair, and opens his eyes. I'd do it in more detail, but this was just to get his face out of my head.
