At Midwest Fur Fest '07 I wanted something original from Blotch. Unfortunately the original stuff (sans lion-bottoms) were out of my price range or just didn't draw my interest. However Kenket had some lovely gestural sketches for sale in her binder. So I picked up two if the tigers there. :D
So the other night I realized I'd never scanned them in. In cleaning the smudgy pencil work, I decided "why not try my hand at coloring too, since I can't get another OC session going?" So I moved and cropped and I give you this... yeah, it's a little sloppy, but I thought it worked fairly well with the loose pencil work too.
It's a tiger walking through clovers. ^.^ I may link to the original at some point, but for now I give you this.

Originally I colored it to be used as a 100x100 icon... but it didn't work out so well. I'm still trying to learn how to provide detail but not make it turn all mushy when it's reduced down. To that extent, this was a failure for me. But I did learn lessons, so that's a success.
