This is still kind of a work in progress and I've been working on it just for fun every now and then when I have a spare minute or two.

This is a rough map for a story / world-building idea I had a while ago. I don't have a proper name for this place yet, but I have a fair number of the other details all worked out in my mind already.

Basically this place exists on a world that is covered by a much larger percentage of ocean than Earth is, closer to 90% ocean. It's dotted by a small handful of distant and largely isolated continents, this being one of them. This is the most northerly of the continents and there are parts of it that are frozen almost all year round, even the most southern reaches experience rather harsh winters with lots of snow.

There are 3 sentient species which reside here: Humans, Giants and Trolls. The Giants are really more of a sub-species as they were originally the the result of when a human and troll. They basically look like very large people with a sort of cave-man build and pronounced tusk-like canine teeth. Sometime Giants will also have very small horns.

The land is largely divided into two different cultures, the northern nomads, and the southern forest-dwellers. I could go into a lot more details about the two factions but I don't want to bore you guys.
