This is light little tale, almost a shaggy dog story. (I should probably point out that it does not involve actual shaggy dogs in any way. On FA such confusion is likely.) I wrote it, Fish cleaned it up and made it funnier. He's good at that. I actually submitted this to magazines, hoping it'd be offbeat enough to be accepted, but no such luck. Looking back, I agree it wouldn't fit well in most publications, though some small, very niche mags are perhaps a different matter.
